Good luck on your new little girl.

I use a medicated shampoo because Hot Rod was very dry and itchy. He had really bad flaky skin. The vet seemed to think it might have been an allergy to (?) the treatment on our relatively new carpet. We're not sure and we're not sure if he has outgrown it now but I will continue to use this shampoo and conditioner on him at least til I run out. I would say wait until your baby comes home and after a bit to see how she fairs and talk with the vet before you decide on shampoos. she may be okay with just a puppy shampoo.
