Wolves and dogs may be genetically the same, but that's where the similarities end. Wolves have not been selectively bred by humans (for the most part) as domesticated dogs have. Wolves do not suffer from some of the illnesses and genetic fault that dogs are prone to due to human interferance. These factors compromise what a dog "needs." You cannot equate entirely the needs of dogs vs wolves in the aspect of diet alone without considering ALL the factors that play a role there. |
