They do get into a pattern that is hard to brake. Could it be that since your windows are open , she can hear something that you cant? Max started doing the same thing every night, and would always go to sniff the same spot , I found out there was a cat that came every night to sleep on my bench. I moved the bench to the back yard, and Max stopped barking and wanting to go out.
Good luck, those sleepless night are draining.
