I have a very similar situation. Cocoa is 7 mo. I am a teacher so was off for the summer. I use a crate. I do everything I have read about: kong with treats, bully stick, toys, the shirt I slept in for the scent, and I leave the radio on. She eats the treats out of her kong but does not play with her toys or chew the bully stick until we get home. Lately I notice she shakes when I pick her up to put her in the crate. She is alone for 7.5 hours. I was thinking about closing her in my bedroom, where she sleeps instead of the crate. She waits on my bed when she knows I am leaving so maybe she would be happier there. I am also open to anything else I can do.
