 Blue, Red or Chocolate??
Gucci is a morkie (5 months on the 1st) and it sounds like your new puppy is going through the same thing he did. We thought we were going to have a new "morkie hairless" on our hands but loved him anyways. I checked everywhere (including our vet) for information on yorkies or maltese going through a transitional hair loss period, but could find nothing. After speaking with a Morkie breeder in Florida, I changed his food from Royal Canin to Life' s Abundance and whether that was the answer or not, he's coming along, I'm adding pictures so you can see where he started (on Eukanuba food, then Royal Canin and now Life's Abundance (last 2 pictures). As you can see in the second picture, Gucci had very little hair on his legs. His body was sparse and he had the "old man" skin (comb over) showing on his head. Hope this helps. |
