lately, my sophie has gone into heat. she is about 9 months old.
She has been starting fights between my female sheltie, she gets territorial. I know it's an alpha female thing, and the two are trying to fight for the rank, but my sheltie is 30 pounds, and sophie is 10. When they fight, they latch on so tight, and NOTHING seperates them. we have tried everything, and so far all we can do is each grab a dog and pull them away, which is dangerous because both my mother and I have been scratched or bitten in the process. It happened today, one of the worse fights i have seen them get into yet, and i was so frustrated i had to just cry. She is hurting herself, and i don't know what to do. Will fixing her solve this problem??? help!
