Actually Dog parks are not recomended by to any trainer for soicalization of a puppy let alone a dog, do to the risk of a dog getting thumped by another bad one. Risk is to high for soical skills that a dog may be made afraid or get hurt or pick up an illness.... oh but we tend to start soical skills before our shots are all given.
I love southland. While I know that Nosehill can be bad for coyotes, I've never heard anything about them at Southland.

I've heard otherwise from trainers, but regardless I have to disagree with that. Incidents may happen but overall I think it is a good way to socialize your dog and we've been taking our dogs since they were puppies.
