Our Groomer told us about the 20 mule team Borax trick too. Only we used plain borax. Just sprinkled it in the corners and around the rug left it set over night and then vaccumed real good with a new bag in the sweeper and then thew out the bag.
I did remove the pets from those rooms that night and then bathed and treated them too. Never had a problem since. I occasionly use the stuff from the local pet store here that has flea deterrant (organic) that you sprinkle on your carpet and also something to help release the hair for better vaccuming. I don't have any right now so I cannot give you the name. But it works good and smells nice.
The lemon water sounds like an idea. I had friends who used to use Avon Skin So Soft. But I never cared for the smell. |
