mmmhhh, I use Slicker brushes (as well as combs and a Reg brush) on Cosita, and her coat is beautiful! Her hair is not broken either. My breeder uses slickers brushes as well, and I have never seem more beautiful coats on her dogs. Her dogs are for ring show competition. She introduced me to the slickers brushes and taught me how to do it. I guess it all can depend on how you do it, if you are too rough on them, anything can damage their hair.

I am thinking of getting a better trimmer for her paws and the hair around the eyes.
