I can only speak for the experiences I have had. Neither one of the breeders I have had the pleasure of dealing with would ship them unaccompanied. There is just too much that can go wrong. Just my experience and my opinion.
I travel with my furkids and carry with me a little emergency kit just in case we have any issues such as low blood sugar. I know there are many breeders that ship dogs alone. I just wouldn't feel comfortable with it.
I am glad to hear that the dog is adjusting to her new home and is healthy. I can't imagine how horrible it must have been to have her lost.
