I would find a new vet asap. Thats not good...he's tiny and can go downhill very fast.
One of the foster moms in the rescue just fostered a little guy with hypoglycemic episodes. One night she woke up and he was almost gone. She picked him up and started CPR on him at the same time of her giving this little guy CPR she was driving to Penn University. So imagine driving at 3 AM in Philly and while driving having a 2 lb almost dead pup on your lap giving him CPR. I admire her so much...I would have freaked. Of course this baby made it and has now found his forever home. Don't mean to scare you but just want to let you know how fast things can happen.
Please have him seened by another vet.
