you are living my nightmare!! Keep a close eye on Maxwell. It sounds like there is a good chance everything will be fine.

I know that dog parks are good for socialization, but I cannot bring myself to go to them for this very reason. Also, I am a little nervous about illnesses, even though my dogs are vaccinated for just about everything. If I had larger dogs, I would probably be a regular at the dog parks.

Oh, I agree with the poster above--this is NOT your fault.
