Cry Yorkie Attacked: It was awful, but he survived

I took my Yorkie to a dog event in the park yesterday. At the end of the event he wandered away from me which I didn't notice to where some large dogs were sitting. My Maxwell was on a leash which is required here in KY, but am not sure about her dog(s). While he wandered while on a leash, a huge dog started attaching him and it looked like he was or did try to bit him. I was in shock and didn't know what to do I pulled on the leash trying to get him away and somehow I did get him away. I am still in shock over this whole ordeal It was difficult to get him away from the large dog too.

Everyone gathered around me, even the owner of the dog, which she called a "rot". After I got him away from the "rot", the owner of the "rot" held Maxwell so tightly and kept apologizing saying, "he was playing". It didn't look like, but I was in shock and agreed that everything was okay. They had a Vet there to look at him, and she said, "he was okay", but it sure look like he took some bite or hair of the little fella After I got him back, he wouldn't move from my arms. Usually he climbs onto my shoulder.

I got him some cold bottled water and he wouldn't drink, so I was really worried. Then someone came up to me from "Paws" (organization that does pet therapy for humans) told me that "the dog wasn't playing" and my little Maxwell was in shock. He wouldn't move too much after this whole ordeal and his ears were back and tail was down. She said "that is a sign of stress" for a dog. I should check his pupils later. He doesn't like the light in his eyes, so that is difficult to do.

Even tho the Vet there checked him for bleeding and how he moved around on the ground, he checked out okay. Shouldn't I still take him to my Vet to see if he's okay~? He is running around normal, and peeing normal (lifting the right leg up). But he won't lift the left leg up to pee. I think he favors his right side more than his left anyways. Any suggustions are appreciated.
