I'm certainly not a breeder but I do have experience with an aggressive puppy and children. My little Rockie (now going on 2) was fine with my children (when he was little) but aggressive towards anyone outside my home. He has become so much better as he's grown older (don't know if that's because of age or getting a pal for him (CC-girl, almost 1 now). I have had incidents of aggression towards my kids which started when he was probably 1 1/2 but I believe that was because of Rockie seeing himself just under myself and then my husband in the hiarchy of whose in charge. Once my son (who he was being aggressive with--nipping) was able to show him he was in charge, Rockie has done a lot better with him. However, in the beginning, we had to tell all outsiders (including my parents, in-laws) not to make eye contact with him nor attempt to touch him less they draw back a bloody stump. I'm happy to report that now Rockie doesn't aggress against outside family members and only occasionally attempts to nip at my son (he just rolls him on his back to let him know he's not in charge--and then lets him up --Rockie will then give him a little lick and he's good to go). I don't know if this helps but I think it's workable. Given that this pup is a little older it makes sense if she's not been around children to act this way--kids always want to crowd around while reading out at the same time--I'd probably do the same thing if I was her. I don't think she's to old to relearn, I think it will just take a little longer than if you had her when she was littler.
