I originally purchased this pup from Stephanie from Brynstar yorkies for breeding purposes. I contacted Stephanie and told her I did not think this female was going to grow big enough to breed and that I was going to put her up for sale on a spay/neuter contract. Stephanie was aware of me selling this female.. in fact she even sent me a potential buyers email that had been inquiring with her about a small female. I was contacted by Myra and told her that I normally do not sell my puppies to people with small children. Her reply to me was that her children were very calm and that they had a little dog for a long time and that her children were great with it. So..I tried not to catorgorize her children because some children have been raised amongst animals and know how to treat them..and some children dont. She wanted to get her deposit to me quickly and was going to send it western union. I had told her that I had never used them,but that I had heard Wal-mart had money-grams and it would be alot cheaper for her to use them than western union.. if she did not want to send the money in the mail. After I received her deposit she than explained that she did not want the dog to come to her home for at least 3-4 week's,due to a hurricane in late July that had done damage to her home. Than she told me that she did not want her husband to know that she was getting this dog or how much she was paying for her and that she wanted her to be delivered when her husband was gone out of town and did not know a dog was coming. I was already getting red signals from her by this point,as getting a new pup should be a family alt not behind your spouses back. Than after many days of being on the phone with her..all I heard was screaming in the background from her children that were supposed to be CALM and QUEIT and her screaming back at them. Than I hear a big dog barking in the background and she tells me it is her mothers dog that she is babysitting and would be going back to her moms house..another red flag went up..as this german sheperd was still barking yesterday while I was on the phone with her. She proceeded to tell me that it stays in the backyard and did not come into the house. Ok.. I dont live in Texas but i have been told you dont keep an animal outside with the heat being as hot as it has and never let it come inside..that it would be in-humane. I was in Tennessee on vacation when Myra called me and told me she was now ready for candy which had been 3.5 weeks after her deposit to me. I got home and it was labor day. I took this female with me along with my other dogs up to my brothers home and there happened to be a few smaller children there. This female was so nervous hearing a seeing the loud reactions and voices that these children made,that she ran and hid for what seemed to be for hours. I could not believe how it effected her. When I got home I e-mailed Myra of which I have the email.. and explained what had happened and knowing that what I had heard on the phone from her children in the past conversations with her on the phone.. that I did not believe this little girl would be right for her and her family. I offered her a puppy from a litter that was due later this month and told her I thought a younger puppy would work better for her,as I kept this puppy to long with me and did not socialize her to small children,as I had planned on keeping her for myself and did not need to. I also told her that if she did not want one of my puppies that I would help her find another puppy as nice as this girl is, from a reputable breeder..of which she said no to. I sent her a few pics of a puppy I had found from a breeder in California and told her that this puppy looked alot like mine did at that age and that maybe with this puppy being 12 weeks of age.. she might work out better for her. She cried and begged me to please give her and her family a chance..that is when I told her that I would take this puppy to my neighbors home who also have small children.. to see how she would react,but if I felt like it was not going to work out I would send her deposit back to her. I know this is not what you usually do..but I gave it a try for her sake. The first time we went there it went well,but she sat on my lap the whole time.. the second time I tried to see her response she ran and hid behind a chair.. than she snapped at my neighbors little girl the following day. After seeing this I contacted Myra and told her this would not work out, and how sorry I was with this whole situation. I also told her to call other breeders and get their opinion,but to keep in mind that I know this dog and am not feeling comfortable with the way she is acting. Then.. this little girl came into season,and I told her she was going to have to sign a spay/neuter contract of which she balked and still wanted me to ship her. I did not care at all for her calling other breeders.. what bothered me was her constant insistence that I send this pup to her.. no matter what I said, and that she was in heat. I told her that I could have just taken her money,not said a thing and shipped a puppy to her that I knew was not responding well with children,but I was not that kind of a person nor breeder. It would not be fair to her, her children or my puppy. I told her I was sending her deposit back. That is when she started screaming at me over the phone telling me she would ruin me as a breeder,would leave bad reviews on puppyfind of which she has already done and report me to the BBB. Not to mention after she got done with me I would not be able to sell a puppy to anyone. I was not going to continue listening to someone scream and threaten me on the phone..so I terminated her call. I then emailed her and asked for an address so I could send her deposit back,as I never got any information of where she lived other than Texas. She responded that She also wanted the $35.00 back that she chose to spend to send a money gram of which that was her choice..she could have sent a postal money order or cashiers check but she chose fast delivery and paid the extra funds for it and than wanted me to pay it back to her. I have sent her money back first thing this morning and have a reference # from Wal-mart stating so. I did everything possible to try and please this woman,but to no avail.. and now she is doing exactly what she threatened to do. She is slandering my name on here.. puppyfind and god knows where else. I also have kept all my emails to her and they plainly show how I tried to work with her. Remember there are 2 sides to every story. This woman seemed to be so sweet,that is when everything was going her way. The minute it didn't..her colors quickly changed. I have tried to be an honest and caring person and this woman is giving it all to ruin that. I have plenty of other references from other families that have purchased a puppy from me,been to my home and know how much I love all my furbabies and try my best to place them in the right homes..I also have references from my vet. This deal did not go through just because of the small children issue..there were other factors I took into consideration and gave much thought to. As a breeder.. your puppies look to you to place them in their forever homes,as they cannot do it for themselves. And that is what I have done.
