That's great that the levels have dropped! If you are very concerned, you may want to still go to the appointment, but they may want to know how long his levels have been high to get a better idea of what might be going on. Was he sick at all before the results came back with high levels? Throat infections especially will spread right to the kidneys from the throat. Maybe there was just a bit of damage from something like that, but he is now recovering.
