Okay... this may help. Apparently Firefox backsup bookmarks everyday, I'm not sure if this is entirely true but I'm hoping for your benefit that it is.
If that brings them up then we should be able to restore them back to where they should be.

I found the backup folder from a couple days ago, it was not in the firefox folder though, it was on another hard drive, very very strange. Anyway, I found it and was able to import it back in!!! Whew! What a relief
