Also, I have a friend who's yorkie has always been tiny about 5 pounds (from the day she got him Oct 2002 to Nov 2007) and within 6 months he had skyrocketed to 10 lbs. Every dog is different and I think it has a lot to do with eating habits and genetics much like us.
