| I know I'll get h*** for posting this but.... There is a wonderful woman named Ruth that I know from another board who has been so supportive of Emma's plight....
Yesterday afternoon she got a frantic call from a friend about a litter of Chi's just born.... three were not doing well.
Ruth ran to her aid and by the time she arrived, two had started to improve but one little guy was still very frail.
Ruth took him home and began tube feeding him immediately. Today they went to the vet who said the little boy has a 50/50 chance of survival.... he has a full cleft palate.
Baby is 1.9 ounces.....
Ruth has gone through "the hell of raising a cleft puppy" already in the past and says she just cannot put herself through it again.
Of course, I said I'd try to help.... trouble is.... how do you get a newborn pup with these problems from Maine to Oklahoma???
Please don't post about how silly it would be to go to the expense of getting him here.... please don't post about your opinions of how he should just be put to sleep....
I doubt even a rescue group would take this baby in, considering his dim prognosis.
If you have ideas, options or encouragement.... I welcome your comments.
Here is "Duke"....
