The point is that the breed standard can and does change.
There also seem to be a great number of people on here who are complaining the loudest who do not even have the proper colored yorkies for showing. The Standard says Blue and
TAN , not blue and Gold, not black and gold, not black and tan. Yet all these nonstandard colors are right there on your AKC registration Aplication.
There needs to be a seperate standard for the colors for showing purposes because I do not believe they should ever show against the standard colors. I also hope that the Black and Gold yorkies continue to be breed, they are some of the most beautiful yorkies. It would be nice if someone would form the Parti Colored Yorkshire Terrier Club of America but I have not seen it yet and am not sure how to get it Started. Does anybody else thing this is a good idea?
