I must also say if I wanted to pay that much for a pup I would darn well make sure they are up to "standard" as everyone is saying. I think for me to pay full price on something it should be taken care of! I love my lil lady......I don't know if she is "standard" on everything.....but I am not breeding her either......I just love her as my little girl. I must agree with the others about improving the breed. There is no way in the world I would breed my little lady if she had something that would not improve the breed. I am just not going to take chances with that I am sorry! I know I might sound rude or harsh but as I said if she is not up to standard it doesn't matter she is not in a breeding program she is just my baby and that is all that matters! I hope I made sense .
Yes you did, and as I mentioned I did not know money next to a pup was offensive. it is not to me and is an item that is easily recognized and had by most of us so we can judge size very well from it. I would take the photo off here if I could because it has caused such an outcry. Maybe a moderator can remove my offensive money Photo Perhaps I should carry a ruler around with me. Although a ruler in standard might offend some of our Friends from around the world and a Ruler in Metric could be offensive to people here in the US.

About the standard. I love standard yorkies and I do not believe colored should compete against them in shows. I would personally like to see a seperate standard for the parti and off colored dogs for showing. As far as the rest of the standards I am trying to achieve proper confirmation in my dogs and I will not breed a dog that has genetic flaws affecting it's health.
What is comes down to is that I am trying to breed healthy pets for loving homes. So far I think I am succeeding because I have local vets reffering people to me and I even received the compliment that one of my puppies was the nicest Yorkie they had ever seen come from a breeder. I paid a lot for my dogs so I could have good quality and I charge for good quality and I gauranty it. Buying a better pup is cheeper for you in the long run as you have fewer expensive vet bills. If people do not want to pay my prices they do not have to. There are plenty of breeders out there selling whatever they can throw together for much cheeper without regard to health and defects.
