Since the AKC stipulates that yorkies are to weigh between 4 and 7 pounds, does a yorkie that weighs more than that means s/he is not a purebred and that somewhere along the line there was a crossing of two different breeds? I bought mine as a purebred yorkie but now he weight 7.5 at 16 months and his hair is not silky nor blue, but cottony and black. The head, legs, chest, etc. have the proper tan/gold color.
