That being said...we had a dog who swallowed thread complete with needle...that made it out the entirely out the other end...no problem. Well the problem was literally at the end when it turned as she was pottying...that's when we learned she'd swallowed it.

My daughter swallowed a penney when she was little and I had to do the same thing. It was possibly the grossest thing I have ever had to do. I don't have a weak stomach but that one really tested me. I did find the penney eventually and I can't tell you how happy that little coin made me.
To the OP, have you vacuumed ? I know that probably sounds obvious but just thought I'd ask anyway since the obvious tends to escape me at times.
