That being said...we had a dog who swallowed thread complete with needle...that made it out the entirely out the other end...no problem. Well the problem was literally at the end when it turned as she was pottying...that's when we learned she'd swallowed it.

Yes either she didn't swallow it or I missed it. And I'm sorry but your story about swallowing the nickel is funny! But your mom was right! You lived to talk about it!
