I crate mine only @ night and leave him in a 36" X 24" play/x pen. (w/ a bed, pee pad, safe toys, food & water and I even attach his crate to the pen sometimes) I think if I were stuck in a crate all day I would hate it so that's why I would put her in a bigger but secure place to stay and play while you're not around to watch her.
