Hamoth is correct. your baby is tiny. i would find the smallest crate with a divider so you can adjust it with you baby. i wouldn't put a pee pad in there. to me it encourages them to use it .....especially if you using the same pads somewhere else in the house for training. my boy uses pads and outdoors. he took a while getting the pad down but i was consistent with it and soon he got it down. i crate at night only b/c i work in the day. i take him out first thing in the morning and thats how we started the outside part and he just caught on. hope this helps patients is the key( and lots of paper towels and spray).
