I just can't imagine how ghastly that must have been for you! RIP dear little Dior.
You are SO brave to take this to court as it is not easy when your heart is breaking, to cope with a court case. I can imagine just how hurtful some of those nasty comments were to you. Please ignore people like that - remember it says far more about them than you. Some of the comments sickened me. I am sure we are all going to be praying for the success of your case. It is about time that people took responsibility for their dogs. I find that many people walk big dogs without their lead and I have to grab Tootsy and hold on tight as their dog races towards us. The owners say things like ' oh, he won't hurt you' or ' he has had breakfast' I don't find this funny - I am disabled and have to use a disability scooter, so it is very frightening when a big dog rushes at us. There are signs all around where I walk Tootsy, saying that dogs must be on a lead, but people just ignore them. The council just doesn't seem interested in enforcing the law regarding leads either. So sadly, it seems successful court cases, where people have to pay up large sums in compensation, are the only way to make people take more responsibility for their dogs.
May God heal your broken heart and 'hide' those ghastly memories from your mind - I will be praying for you.
luv
