I have a new recipe for foolproof liver treats. I call them "Braunie Bites."

Ingredients: Braunschweiger liver sandwich spread, flour.

1. Slice the Braunschweiger into 1/2 slices, then cut into little pieces.
2. Roll the pieces in flour to dust them and keep them from sticking together.
3. Put them into small bags or containers. Refrigerate one for use and freeze the rest.

How's that for easy? I feed home-made meals to my Yorkies, but I'm not good at adding in organ meats, which provide valuable minerals. I add a vitamin/mineral supplement to the food. I don't like to feed dog liver treats because I don't trust the ingredients and they are mostly flour anyway.

So this way I can supplement my dogs' diet with liver. Be careful not to feed too many treats! They are high in fat.
