Excellent, V!!! We're all so proud of you and you should know you did a good thing. Some people just don't think clearly in times of crisis; they think it's too much trouble to take their pets b/c they don't know where they'll be going and in their minds, they make it so the pet will somehow be able to fend for themselves~ unless you've been thru something like this before, you just don't have a clue how completely devastating it could be and that the animals are absolutely and completely helpless and are dependent on their owners to watch over them and keep them safe.
I don't think there can be too many reminders to people that they HAVE to provide for their pets no matter what size they are or what they're used to. They are NOT used to huge natural disasters and sometimes it just takes people saying it over and over. Good for you!!!!
