That's such a beautiful castle. We were lucky enough to live in Bavaria(Augsburg) for 3 yrs when my Dad was in the Army. He was a firm believer in sightseeing so we got to tour many of the castles, including the Neuschwanstein. I was always impressed with the cleanliness of the countryside and the pride people took in their homes. This was in the 50's, so I don't know if it's the same. You are very lucky to be living there

American tourists are already familiar with Neuschwanstein; the Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disney Land, was modeled on it.
