Your story brought back memories for me. We had a Great Dane that had to carry a 3 ft stuffed candy cane on all of our walks. It was the funniest thing ever!

Our yorkie Blaze has to take a toy to bed w/him everynight (any toy will do) and take it under my covers and lay on it! He is a very big hoarder. If either Autumn or Chance try to take a toy out of their basket he goes NUTS and will not rest until he gets it from them!
We refer to him as Crazy Blazey!
