Hi everyone

Tootsy has had itchy bumps on her tail (near the base) The bumps are not red just flesh color and they itch. She is also itchy generally. The vet gave her a steroid injection and an antibiotic, but, although the itching improved, she still has the bumps. I wondered if anyone else's Yorkie has had anything similiar. The vet felt it was probably insect bites. I find that anti-histamine cream stops her scratching her tail. I have looked all over for more bumps and have found a couple here and there on her body but not many. If it was a food allergy surely it would be a more widespread rash? I have been rinsing her very well after her bath now just in case it has been caused by conditioner on her skin. I am going to get an oatmeal shampoo and conditioner this week to try and soothe her itches but I would like to know what is causing them. I really don't want her to have more steroids and antibiotics. She is up to date on he Frontline so it is not fleas. I would be grateful for any advice.
