I think you made a very wise decision with your little girl; too many breeders will go ahead and breed a dog with LP, passing the gene down another generation. In a way, I really feel sorry for breeders, because they don't get to enjoy the wonderful companion that a spayed or neutered pet can be, especially with males. Best of luck, and they shouldn't have to shave anything, but the tummy for this. Are you going to have any teeth pulled at this time? Many people get remaining baby teeth pulled at this time, so that they don't have to be put under at another time.
