Aww Marci you did what you could! The other week I was driving to work and saw a pit bull mix puppy (fullgrown but probably not a year old yet) running in the road. I'm scared of big dogs so I couldn't have stopped and picked him up and put him in my car and I doubt he would have come willingly anyway. So I called my local animal shelter and let them know where I saw him. The lady proceeded to ask why I didn't stop and get him. I explained the situation and she said "MAYBE I can see if one of my volunteers can go out there and get him." I was so mad and I felt so guilty but I just keep thinking to myself that they must have picked him up because I haven't seen him since.
