I administer the shots to my dogs, as shown by my vet many years ago. You have to do what you believe is best for YOUR dog. If the sticker from the vial is included in the shot record given to the new Mom/Dad, you shouldn't have a problem with vet accepting same. The techs that work at a vet's office are just people too, and there is no 100% guarantee that the vaccinations were handled properly; or the vaccines haven't expired (unless they provide you with a sticker; mine didn't). I feel that the rabies should be given by a vet so there is no problem in getting their tags/prove for dog licensing. |
