I don't know if this is anything to go by but here's my observation. When Jo was 4 months old he had the thinnest, smoothest, slowest growing hair that didn't have that fluffy 'undercoat' feel and he's got a silky coat now at 9 months old. Riley has the same coat (at 4 months) that seems to be growing the same way and has the same feel as Jo's did so maybe he'll have a silk coat too. My first Yorkie had a fluffy, teddy bear coat as a puppy and as an adult his coat was cottony and took more time to groom. |
