I wouldn't worry too much yet. What did the vet say when he had his last check up? If it's not down by the time of his neuter, they will take care of it then. This happens a lot with yorkies or so I've been told.
I believe the neuter will be a little more expensive for him. It is important to have it taken care of eventually though, because I believe his risk for cancer is higher.
