No you are not a horrible mother. Mollie will not let me do hers, she tries to bite me. I make sure she has greenies a couple times a week and some other things to chew on to help keep her teeth clean. She just had 2 baby teeth extracted she is 19 months old and they didn't have to clean her teeth just the extraction.
I am going to start brushing her teeth at least every couple of days whether she likes it or not. She will eventually get used to it.
The only time that I took her to Petsmart for an actual grooming they did brush her teeth for me. Of course they charge more but they do it. I'm not sure if any other groomers do it or not.
