No, it's not the same as the one in the link I posted. Mine does light up....I found one like I have online here:
Star Chaser Cat Toy (but they had them at my Petco and Petsmart both a couple of months ago). They also have the replacement light-up balls, so if you find the other kind, you can always find the light-up ball to put in it instead later. (I actually bought mine at a place called Atwoods--it's basically a farming type store--because it was half the price there....like $9.99 instead of $19.99.)
