Otis is soooo itchy. We went to a new vet today and he gave me hydroxyzine 10 mg, 2-3 times a day. Every part of his body is red, hot and itchy. Only started about 10 days ago and he had the same thing last year at this time! The meds should start working in a few days. Any tips from doggie hay fever veterens out there? He also suggested maybe I change the protein in his food. He's currently on Wellness Duck and brown rice.
Also Oliver got cleanser, rinse and meds for his yeasty tear stains. New vet is about 25 minute drive out in the country but seems very nice. (and is kinda cute too). All that for only 50.00. (except Otis's script for hydroxyzine). The vets in my town want 38.00 just for the office call, per dog!
So who has tips for hayfever!
