First heat could be anywhere from 6 months to maybe 18 months.
It last maybe about 21 days (one week coming in, one week in and one week going out). You can use diapers if you want.
If at all possible, it would probably be good to have her spayed before her first heat because if you do, she will have almost a 0% chance of getting mammary cancer.
