Your FIL sounds so much like my FIL. Mine constantly made rude comments about my horses, my dogs, and then eventually started in on ME.  DH told him to shut his trap, and apologized to me, saying if his dad didn't like me he wouldn't pick at me like he did. I finally couldn't take FIL's rude comments any longer and quit going anywhere around him. He finally died, and guess what? I have never missed the rude ole SOB one iota! I don't know how such a hateful man could father such a sweet man as my DH. I do realize he was just trying to get a rise out of me, but that didn't mean I had to accept it. |
