I'm reviving this old thread as I just found out that Pennsylvania law requires that all dogs are vaccinated for rabies at four months.

Oscar is just about to turn four months old and weighs a little over 6 lbs. Am I safe going ahead and getting him vaccinated? I had wanted to wait until 6 months, but I can't even get him into the groomer until he's gets it.

I'm also leaning towards going ahead and getting him vaccinated because we're spending a lot of time outside, and my neighborhood is full of giant, semi-docile squirrels and chipmunks - it's just a matter of time until he goes after one.

Any thoughts?
