Joey had very oily has a puppy, it didn't seem to make much difference which shampoo, I used a couple of days latter, he looked like he needed a bath. He outgrew this and now he can easily go a week. It's important to rinse really well, any shampoo or conditioner left in the coat will attract dirt and oil. After I'm through rinsing, I heat up the towel in to microwave for 1 minute, and during this time I rinse again, just to make sure I've rinsed enough, then I wrap him in his warm towel. I've read that the puppies with an oily coat usually grow up to have beautiful silky coats, and this was true of Joey. You might want to check out the grooming forum.
