I'm surprised your vet didn't tell you this when you made the appointment....and why didn't you ask? They would have told you if you can/should be giving any medication & the dosage, what to feed the dog until s/he can be seen by a vet, and whether or not to keep the dogs separated. I would think if one is ill and one is not sick, you should keep them separated and well hydrated. And it's hot and humid today, please keep them inside. Maybe you should call back?
