I have a niece that is the same age as you, so I'm going to talk to you like I talk to her when she needs advice... Honey, just because it is Labor Day does not mean that vets are not available to help you. You need to get on the phone and call around..maybe even to a vet that isn't in your town. Someone is going to have an answering machine that tells you what to do if you're having an emergency- maybe they'll give a home number to call or refer you to another clinic. Even if you do not see a vet today, I really think it is in your best interest to at least TALK to one, get their opinion and get an appointment made for first thing in the morning.
I have many thoughts going around in my head about your parents at the moment...I understand being short on money but that shouldn't even be the issue here. Unfortunately for you at such a young age, you need to step up and act like an adult. Go confront your parents, tell them what is going on with your dog, tell them it is an emergency and you need help figuring out what to do. Now is not the time to let their personal feelings about the dogs stand in the way. All of you need to have the dog's best interest in mind and that is getting professional advice from a vet AND SOON! Good luck! You and Brudas are in my thoughts. |
