Toby definatly IS improveing. He took 3 syringes full at 5:30 this morning and then another 3 syringes at 8:30. After he ate I moving his legs and helping him stand and he walked! I mean that brave, wonderful, sweet boy took 3 steps with all four legs! He is weak in his hind end but all I had to do to help him was put my hands on each side of him to help balance and he took the iniative to walk forward on his own! He is weaker on his left side than his right but I think that makes sense as the kick was to the right/center part of his head, so I figure its like a stroke and the right part of the brain recived damage which weakened the left side of the body....does anybody know if I'm right? Tobe had his eyes open while he was walking and he was "with me", he knew what was going on, I'm sure he did. Oh yeah! The vet put fluid under his skin yesterday and she said that would keep him hydrated until Monday when I bring him back to see her, but this morning after the stroll he was panting...makes sense, that was hard work, and he was licking his lips so I got a bowl of water and helped him get his muzzle to it and he took several laps. I really don't know if he was lapping on purpose or just licking his lips and got some water but he definately took water...thats good too right? Again thank you all so much, this miracle is due I think as much to you and your prayers and positive thoughts as it is to the vet or myself. PLEASE keep sending the prayers and posititive thoughts. My baby is going to live!
PS Toby is taking a much deserved nap right now and I'm crying again...tears of joy this time!
