Thanks everybody! Their tails are not bleeding anymore and they all seem fine now. The smallest boy seems to not be gaining weight but is very energetic and eats alot off his mama. He was checked for defects and has none. Just the runt, I guess. I'm gonna start a supplement anyway. Any suggestions in this subject? I have seen many things discussed.

I did not watch the cutting so I am not sure how exactlly the tails were docked. My stomach is still a little too weak for that, I am building my tolerance level! My stepfather said there would be some blood but the key is to get them to their mama immediately so that she can keep them clean. Looking back on it, I wish I didn't let him do it but now there is no turning around. I should have just taken them to the vet but he used to dock rat terrier tails so I was somewhat at ease with it.

And to jrsygal37, I am learning. I was looking into the ABC's of breeding and was thinking of starting within the next year after I had more education on it. I worked at the vet office for 3 1/2 yrs and know a lot about animals but not every single detail to breeding. I thought I caught my female in heat, just in time but evidentally not, so I ended up with puppies. Once I realized she was pregnant, about 3wks before whelping, I began heavily educating myself. I am using YT as a source and have had great help and no criticism, just support. I understand where your coming from, but where are you supposed to start? You live and you learn and I ask questions! I love my animals more than anything and have their best interest at heart, I am doing all I can to raise these puppies the be healthy. Since I worked at the vet, I still have close ties with them so I can call on them anytime. (another reason why I should have just had the tails done there)

Again thank you all for your support and advice, it has helped me tremendously!
