I've thought about that also. the big probglem with that is if they can get money from someone else they will probably sell the dog. A contract is only as good as the people signing it.
the only recourse that you would have would be to take them to court, but if they no longer have the dog it won't do much good.
Did you see the Ellen show where she had a rescue dog that she gave to someone else and the rescue shelter went and took the dog back? They had a clause that said she was not allowed to give it or sell it to anyone else. but the only reason that they knew about it was because she told on the show that she had done that.
