Good way to handle that she not sure at all and what your doing will help build confidence that you are there to help her.

Now that said next time you go to the vets..... have the dogs eyes checked.
I am wondering if she got low light vision problems and may just may have eye concerns.... Vet may say no as the young dog with cataracts do not show them easily but keep an eye on it and if night vision and being concerned at night continues ask to see an eye specialist.
At this point she still getting to know the world and may never have had to deal with low light and outside at dark and it sounds and looks strange so she needs time to learn. What I have said about eyes is just so you can watch and if there is a problem catch it early.
